If you can, definitely get him to one of the monthly tours of Lone Fir cemetary in Portland. I went on a tour earlier this month, and it was really, really cool. It is the oldest continually active (and yes, people still get buried there) pioneer cemetary in the country, and there's a volunteer group called "Friends of Lone Fir" that runs the tours and maintains the cemetary.
