GA is on track to legalize medicinal use, though not of the actual plant matter. It's the most restrictive medicinal use law on the books in the USA, but it passed the GA House with something like a 171-4 vote count.

They actually used science to determine the restrictions and targets -- e.g., it's restricted solely to cancer patients who have tried chemo unsuccessfully, seizure patients who are responsive to the cannabinoids, and one other patient group I can't remember offhand. It's also only cannabidiol (I think I spelled that right). All of that was based on the science that proved that those were what they considered legitimate uses of the product.

Are they overlooking many other potential uses of cannabis? Sure. Do I still think it's a damn good start? I do.

So not everyone in the south is as unscientific as you think we are, for being in the bible belt, I'm pretty impressed that it looks like GA will have a med law on the books approved in 2014. Just waiting on that senate...

Why do the answers given by staff seem to vary so wildly? I had an iPhone 5S that got hit with the blue screen / reboot loop issue after 8.1.3 upgrade due to a bad NAND chip, occurred about a week outside of warranty. Apple Genius took one look at it and said 'Oh, this' and told me to pay $300 to replace the phone out of warranty. Friend of mine had the EXACT same thing happen, 2 weeks outside of the 1 year warranty, right after upgrading to 8.1.3, and they replaced the phone on the spot with no problem. Neither of us had AppleCare, so it wasn't that.

Is it really just 'whatever the Genius wants to do to help you', or are there guidelines as to what can be done and each employee determines based on how much they like the customer?

Interesting. I was exceptionally polite, I think the guy was just having a bad day. I escalated to corporate, got jerked around for 3 months only for their techs to confirm it was a hardware problem, and then offer me the same $270 offer to replace it. I was so incensed by this that I switched away from Apple and haven't been back since.

Silly that they don't apply policy unilaterally. That guy's bad day (or my attitude, though I do remember being polite) lost Apple a 14 year customer.

Thanks for answering the question!

EDIT: Yeah, whatever, downvote me because Apple used shitty NAND chips in early model iPhone 5S devices and then didn't do the right thing. That totally makes sense. :P

As an ex-Sandwich Artist who worked there something like 10 years ago, I can tell you this was a big ordeal internally -- 'u-cut' vs. 'hinge cut'. They had slick sheets, diagrams, posters on the inside of the assembly area, the whole 9 yards. They had to train people on how to cut the bread both ways initially as for a period of time you could still have the u-cut if you asked for it.

And yes, the hinge cut sucks and the u-cut was superior. Especially for meatball subs.

I absolutely hated working for that place. You couldn't shower enough to get the smell of sandwich off of you.
