I was VERY fortunate. I was born in Seattle,Wa (US / Now have Dual Citizenship). And i was raised there in Asmara from 88-93. I know Eritrea doesn't look like the most friendliest nation in Africa, or even the world. Though it's only due to the world community not getting "the full story". The world only ever hears what Obama and other Foreign Leaders say, really quick, one of the reasons this is, is because Eritrea doesn't accept any and all foreign aid, wether it is money or food, they are completely self-reliant. In Eritrea they've found caverns and mountains filled with precious metals, and are now in the process of unearthing them, all super powers would jump at the chance to aid them somehow, in hopes that they would get a piece of the pie . I'm currently in transition to moving there. My father was intelligent enough to have me set up an account when I was 15. I would transfer money from my paycheck as a bag boy, and it would grow in the Eritrean market. Currently we have a few businesses back in Asmara and Massawa. I have 3 houses and plenty of family. I am currently a Nurse, and once i've accumulated enough money here in the States and finished my Nurse Practitioners program here, I plan on working pro-bono in Eritrea as well as other countries in Africa. So far i've been to South Africa / Egypt/ Syria/ Zimbabwe and Senegal with various Study Abroad at my University, as well as non for profit organizations like The Flying Doctors and Doctors without borders. I've been blessed to have grown in the US, but i know where i want my bones buried. Eritrea is the amongst the youngest nations in Africa, they may make mistakes and messes, but which country hasn't?

There was a 30 year civil war with Ethiopia. We Eritreans where tired of the abuse and disrespect. We drew the line. It was honestly similar to the story of The Battle of Thermopylae (Greeks vs Persians). there was a few of us, and many more of them. The battle was primarily won through guerrilla warfare. An example, 3 men tunneled underneath one of the Ethiopians major Air base. At night they set explosives, and destroyed over 25 of their jet fighters. There are many stories.
