they were able to handle many basic services, including managing food and water.

Can you expand on this if possible? I am a Graduate Student of Social Work and am attempting to look at how sub state groups like AQ and Hezbollah use social services in order to enmesh into a community.

I believe I read in an article on PBS that ISIS was organizing "Children's Day" complete with clowns?!?!

Libya has always been way more complicated than many people seem to understand it to be.

This is generally the case with most of these conflicts, shit its often the case with almost anything.

I have to admit, I was feeling very concerned for both you and Serry at the moment. I was relieved when I heard you were both okay. Del Walters also seemed to be very concerned.

Another question, did you ever feel like things that were being done for you were pre-planned or done "just for show"?

Just want to say thank you for doing this. I participated in the PBS chat earlier today and that added a lot (and I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable asking for a contact) . I did want to ask you this:

How much actual cooperation did you see between the IF and the FSA? From the video, it looked like the SRF spearheaded the assault into Al-Atari. Often, we here that IF and/or ISIS or JaN has lead "opposition" assaults, it would be very interesting to see the FSA resuming spearheading of assaults.
