Hi Tia,

I really respect your work with parolees and giving them the opportunity to succeed in post prison life. I have two questions: what has been your most rewarding encounter or story with a parolee? And what can I ( not a hiring manager or in a position to hire a parolee) do to help those men and women get back on their feet?

Hi, thanks for being here and answering questions.

I have had a breast reduction surgery, but also have a history of breast cancer in my family. Two questions:

Did my reduction reduce my likelihood of getting breast cancer?

I have significant scarring ( though it's faded and flat- no keloids) from the surgery. Would my current scar tissue make a mastectomy more difficult?

Thanks!

Great to hear from you! Do you feel that the book, Girls of Riyadh (or Banat al-Riyadh), by Rajaa Alsanea is an accurate representation of life for young Saudi women? What do you think of the book? Did it cause as much of a scandal as I have read?

Hi! I have hearing loss like yours- only mine is unilateral. Being unilateral, I feel a little out of place. I have a hearing issue, but people are sometimes jackasses about it and say I don't have a 'real disability'. I've considered learning ASL as a fail safe, in case my other ear goes, but am not sure how the deaf community would feel about me- thoughts?
