We have started doing home-based treatment

So glad to see this. WHO has announced that "non-conventional interventions" are needed for this urban outbreak. Overwhelmed hospitals, transportation to-and-from treatment centers, EVD victims waiting for admission are all contributing to the spread.

Home-based treatment coupled with sterile disposal of waste and food delivery could help prevent transmission.

It would absolutely be expensive but I think well worth it, especially for quarantine ... mobile units.

Each unit assigned X number of dwellings. First unit; health care worker and a driver. HCW walks up to home, disinfects door, stands outside and takes temperature and notes symptom list. Second unit delivers food at door. Third to remove waste and dispose using HazMat guidelines.

Only when patient becomes symptomatic they would be moved to isolation unit and tested.

No more mingling of suspected, probable, verified cases with HCW's and each other.
