The FBI agent did not show you the images to shock you or get a reaction from you. He showed you a couple of images so you could understand what was going on and to ensure you were not also involved. Most people have never really seen CP and can not grasp what is entails. The majority of people think CP is just an 18 year old dressed up to look 14. It is not. He probably did not show you the worst/graphic images (sorry). Remember the children are the victims here and the FBI agent is doing his job by protecting him. Easy to misdirect your anger.

Hum - this is making the opinion that only a tiny portion was CP. If the FBI is going to arrest him it means he was in a P2P sharing CP. The CP did not accidently get downloaded or find its way to his computer. He was looking for it. As a consumer he helps justify it to the people who molest the kids and take pictures of them. It is a community (albeit small) of people who feed off of one another. No one knows what this could have led to by this man. Numerous studies have shown that people who molest children started by looking at pictures of them being molested. This is certainly NOT to say this may would have gone that way. Bottom line is that this was his decision to look at and share CP. It did not happen by accident.

First - I commend the OP for staying by her husband. It will be a difficult time for both of them. But with the OPs help it may get better. The husband will need a very strong and long lasting support system to survive this. Good luck and stay strong!

JIggilo_jamflex - I think your comments are off base here. CP is a foul crime usually directed to either infants or children that are between 5 and 10 years old. Every time someone looks at their pictures they are victimized again. There is no excuse and looking at these images for sexual enjoyment does not happen by mistake. Yes, we should ostracize people who do this - and this is why they go to jail. When he gets out of jail he will have a second chance at life. People should forgive but not forget. Like an addiction it will be difficult not to return to it. If it was not serious it would not be a felony and he would not be in jail for three years for looking at CP.
Yes, you are missing something here. You are young and inexperienced in life yet.

My experience? I have worked in federal law enforcement for 25 years, and spent the last 15 years arresting people for doing exactly this. I find the majority of the population has no idea what CP really is - and how horrible the crime is.

Again to the OP - stay strong and work with your husband. He will need you more now than ever before.
