Most normal-seeming, down-to-earth celebrity to ever do an AMA.

Fucking awesome of you!

Congrats on your sobriety!

I've followed some of the causes Anonymous has pushed to the front, and I do believe you do these things for the interest of the people. Since you're getting a lot of hate here, I just wanted to share with you that I think you did the right thing, and had the best of intentions. Good luck to you in your future!

First and foremost, thank you for your service.

I've thought about the recent wars a lot, I can remember being 18 and watching the "shock & awe" campaign and feeling a lump in my throat.

I've heard a lot of new in the past few years, and would say I've witnessed the same, that the citizen's here are becoming a little...maybe numb, to the fact that we have soldiers still dying everyday. We have so much other stimuli, we aren't focused on the wars anymore, even though we have young people coming home wounded, losing limbs, paralyzed by PTSD, or not coming home at all.

I live downtown in a city and see many homeless people. A lot of the older men were vets of the Vietnam war. I worry now, that the men and women coming home today may be in the same place the vets of Vietnam are in now.

My question: How could we citizens make transitioning to life back in the US easier on those returning? How can we honor those lost, how can we make sure our children will never forget the sacrifices you all have made?

It's a shame they tried to sell the prision system as "rehabilitation" but what rehabiliation really goes on in the system? Like you, most I see come out are worse for the wear. Congrats to you to making good choices for yourself, no questions, just wish you well in life!

When did your preparation begin, when did you actually leave, and when did you arrive in the US?
