Hey OP. I'm late but I found the AMA. Just wanted to say it's a good story, and I agree that you came out of it for the better. I agree with the people here who say the way you were suckered into it was fucked up (I wouldn't be able to trust my parents after that), but I am not opposed to the camp itself. Everyone that was screaming sue your parents, have them arrested, OP has stockholm syndrome, internet addiction isn't that bad, etc. were being pretty naive.

HEy there, I just wanted to say really liked your game...well, what I saw of it. I played the demo. I like any game that feels artsy and out there to me. Unfortunately, the overwhelming brightness really screwed with my eyes and left me with a headache. When I get home I think I will turn the brightness waaaaay down and try it again!

You speak of auto-renewable subscriptions as though the goal was to take advantage of the lazy and uneducated as you call it. I see it as being made for convenience (not synonymous with laziness). There are fair and reasonable ways to go about it- be up front with the price and terms, ask confirmation, cancel at any time, etc. If you are too lazy to manage your money, you're being irresponsible and that's on you. I don't see how it's predatory in and of itself.
