Bamboozled was fucking awesome. Have your ever attempted to get directing jobs in the sci-fi or fantasy genre? I just think that you're really versatile as a director and would like to see your catalog expand to all kinds of different shit.
Edit: P.S. Sucka Free City was the shit! Too bad it didn't become something more. Showtime fucked up. That could've been their The Wire

This can't be up voted enough. We have to stop blaming teachers for a problem is that is much bigger than them. True, some tenure reform may be reasonable but it usually comes with other huge attacks and cutbacks on benefits, it's no wonder they exercise their collective power (their Union) and dig their heels in. For the uninitiated here, having a union means you have the ability to negotiate, so there are two sides here. A negotiations is give and take so stop blaming the teachers union, the school district has to approve the contracts as well. And if they go on strike, it's no easy feat to organize and risk their pay and livelihoods. They're in the streets fighting for what they think is right while you're on the sidelines sniping and judging them on issues you dont fully understand and/or most likely simplify. In Wisconsin, the teachers agreed to give back wage increases in bad times and still got slammed by Scott walker's bullshit, taking away their collective bargaining rights. You won't reach comprehensive reform by taking that approach. I can almost guarantee you this. If a district offered teachers a salary range of 75,000 - 150,000 through the course their career with a decent pension and benefits package then their membership will vote for a much more flexible tenure system, and you'll recruit a new wave of awesome teachers too.

We should have never been there. Saddam was a bad guy sure, but it was widely known by a number of experts that he was a rational actor---he wanted above all else to retain his power. 20 year old college student me knew that at the time and so did the Bush administration. The country was sold the idea that the war was about national security when really it was for a number of other reasons: oil, military contracts, US imperialism, you pick. Americans are retards and we got what we deserved.
