Aside from marketing, what is the purpose of a watch rated to 1000m? I'm assuming a human would be squashed well before they reach that depth.

I'd have to disagree. I'm a Colorado resident and cannabis enthusiast.

In many (most?) shops, the product is already in child-proof containers and is simply put in a paper bag and stapled with the receipt (which costs nothing).

While some people would like a "fashionable" pot bag, I highly doubt it would catch on on a large scale. 1) not every county has the same regulations for "exit bags", 2) people don't want to pay extra for something that costs little or nothing (and is publicly displayed minimally, if at all), and most importantly, 3) people don't want to remember to take a bag with them to the store (just look at reusable grocery bags).
