What surprised you the most about life in the United States?

Was your personality (temper, impulse control, etc.) affected at all by the TBI?

It looks like you ended up with a great family. Did you ever experience racism in the community from outsiders over your being the only black member of the family?

Absolutely normal.

I'm glad to have helped and I wish you the best. One thing you'll have to understand is that the man you married may no longer be there because of this. It sounds like you'll have to make major adjustments and accommodations (which you have done by taking away access to the bank account).
