I don't mean to take the doctor's merits in performing surgery in such harsh conditions during a war, but using a normal drill instead of a specialized tool is not something unheard of, neither something unusual even. I am a medicine student from a South American country, and the very first surgery I have seen while in my 2nd year was a neurosurgery in a public hospital, and they used a Bosch power drill to make some holes in the patient's skull. They do it like, everyday.

How dangerous would you say your job is, considering all the training police officers get and the experience they develop over the years?
