Isn't getting the crab legs past their prime dangerous? Wouldn't it make people sick?

I've eaten them in Chinese buffets, and while I haven't gotten sick, I wasn't impressed with them either. Guess I know why now.

Doesn't it bother you that, especially with today's knowledge of plastic pollution, that your product is most likely only contributing to more plastic in the landfills and has pretty much no practical uses?

What are they made out?
