How much of the "feelings" we see in machines is really us imprinting on out perceptions much like we do with animals?

The iphone in 2008 didnt even send pictures, you didn't want it haha. I was 22 then and it is a world of difference in 12 years. Good job and glad you learned from your journey, took one like it as a road trip around the time.

Where do you draw the line between passion for something and being able to make a life of it? Every football player wants to be NFL but in the end less than 2% ever will be. Same with someone who wants to play an instrument . Do you set the children up to know when a passion should be a hobby or a career?

Simple, our children can do anything they put their minds to. What's important is if they can make a life of it and be happy. Nothing wrong with having hobbies , especially ones that you can make a little money off of. The truth is though, you need to have career that makes money and is stable to be happy in this world. Not everyone is a sports star or a famous musician.

Thank you! This is some great reading. I think about this quite often as my self and my child may live in a future with AI the can "feel" like we do. Also how we as humans will treat them, will we treat them? We have seen how humans will treat our own people as a " lower class ". If AI becomes biological and machine as one or we move our selves to that type of bodies. Thank you for the reading , I think will answer some of my questions and keep up the good work. We need more thinkers like you.
