If you could go back in time, and talk to the people from 500AD, you could not explain the concepts of LGBT rights. You couldn't present them with the idea that marriage equality is important. Culture would reject everything else you had to say, because a core element of your teachings would seem like apostasy.

It seems like you're making the argument that the Prophet should have used his interaction with society to promote what would be the social norms of the future. I would argue that it would be impossible to do so, and still be and effective leader. Thoughts?

There wouldn't be enough advantage to consider it a productive exercise. It would be more standard to keep multiple clips co-located with the firearm. If you have enough time to consider the type of round you need, you can swap clips, otherwise you would just use what was already loaded, and reload afterwards, if needed.
