How often is it the case that corporations write the bills that affect them?

You wrote "the first liquid to come off is a nasty blend of chemicals known as the "Foreshot"": So where do those chemicals come from? Are they present (but presumably in small quantities) in beer and wine?

How much do the original ingredients affect the final flavor? That is, do potatoes result in a much different flavor from, say, grains, or in your case, maple syrup?
