You can usually spot a homeschooled kid by the following:

  1. They have a huge vocabulary but mispronounce a surprising number of words

  2. They are incredibly comfortable talking with adults

  3. They are really awkward with kids their own age

If they are only slightly awkward with kids their own age, their parents probably took some pains to socialize them via sports, etc

Methinks weeping about this would imply a level of emotional honesty and self-awareness that is antithetical to r/incels

As someone who was home-schooled Kindergarten - high-school (though not a genius like OP), I reached very similar conclusions:

  1. It's not a matter of homeschooling versus other forms of education, it's what best suits the individual kid

  2. It's hard to say whether you would change anything because you have no frame of comparison if your entire education was in home

  3. No snow days. Ever :(

I'll be on the look out for a hit album from abbytherrien in the next few years and I'll tell my friends how I knew her back when she was just a kid on reddit.

Stick with it, abby!
