I was at a music festival a few years ago where the main stage had been divided into a front pit and and back pit. When the front got full they closed it off for safety reasons. I was standing at the front of the back pit when a bunch of people around me realized there were hundreds of them and only 8 or so security guards, and I got caught up when they all stormed the barriers at once. There was literally nothing the security could do except stand back and let it happen. So my question is, are you taught how to handle that kind of situation and what are you guys meant to do when it happens?

That does sound scary. You guys should be trained on how to deal with stuff like that, otherwise what's the point! Thanks for answering my question :)

Hi Matthew, massive fan! I'm so glad to see you back after all you went through. :(

My question is, do other characters ever pop into your head when you're writing? Like for example if you're writing a Jack West novel, do you ever suddenly have an idea and then think "Hmm, this might actually better for Scarecrow to go through"? Do you have a system for keeping them separate?

Also, how much of yourself goes into your characters in terms of experiences or personality?

Yeah my female cat dunks her stuffed duck in the water and then leaves it in the hallway for me to step on... squelch!
