Very sorry to hear about that. However...

That's a very low dose of Miralax. Is that really sufficient for you?

My 13 year old daughter (with chronic constipation) who only weighs 90lbs takes 2.5 times that plus fiber plus prescription Amitiza (http://www.amitiza.com/).

The latter being the thing that has helped her the most.

And how are you still getting prescription Miralax when it's an over the counter medicine now?

It seems clear that folks in SF who live it multi-planet economies would top many of these names (but wouldn't be as recognized). The obvious one to me is Klaus Hauptman from the Honor Harrington series.

Although I actually think Albrecht Detweiler (Chairman on Manpower) is suppose to be way richer.

She eats a healthy diet. Getting sufficient (e.g. Lots) of water into her is something we are working on getting her better at.

Right now the medicine is helping her be fairly regular. The problem is that she had issues for so many years that she's stretched out internally to 3-4x the normal. She needs to just be regular for 6+ months to get her GI system to shrink back down to "normal".

That combined with physical therapy/bio feedback training (at Stanford) will hopefully train her to be able to detect the body signals and deal with it with reduced medicine.

She is on a pretty low Amitiza does and hasn't had any side effect issues (thankfully).

And frankly the OP needs to take some responsibility for what he's putting into his body. It's not that difficult to figure out in this day and age.

The bottle clearly states "Polyethylene glycol 3350". If you search for that in Google you will immediately see that is exactly what Miralax is.
