I had a friend who has what is called face blindness. She couldn't recognize faces, not even her own mother. She used to joke about not recognizing people and I thought she was just being funny until I read an article by chance online and told her about it. We couldn't believe it was a thing. Is your inability to recognize people different than this?

Also does your condition cause depression and anxiety? How do you manage the confusion?

You are very strong. I'm sorry to hear about that experience. As I grow older I realize more and more how important compassion is. People make a lot of judgements and assumptions that are hurtful. Thank you for taking the time to share and a good reminder how important compassion is.

What do you think about the safety of fillers such as Voluma?

I was thinking that it would be a blessing. I wish I was more like that. I'm suffering from anxiety and depression from experiences I can't shake. I wish I could forget.

Thank you, Dr. Perry. May I ask it is much more in cost to have a plastic surgeon do the injection? I was under the impression that plastic surgeons only performed surgery and not injections due to the higher degree of knowledge and pay scale for your time. I hope I phrased that question so it makes sense. I've only seen medical doctors and RNs offer the injections.
