XBox taunts aren't what they used to be.

"Check your white privilege" has become a term to silence white people who may want to express a point of view on race, poverty or gender issues.

The assumption is that your inherent whiteness makes you privileged, and therefore you are unable to understand what it might be like to be a person from a minority race. While there is truth to the advantages white people have in parts of society it's an accusation painted in such broad strokes as to be useless for rational discourse.

It's such a ludicrous thing to say to a person, that you can mostly find it said jokingly or ironically like I meant :)
