I once had a bad headache, so I chopped a carrot in half and stuck it on my head, and my headache was gone within a day!

Yes, higher salaries can be earned by doctors in the US, but I would argue that UK salaries are reasonable.

To be in to top 10% of income in the UK you need to earn £35k / year.

To be in the top 1% you need to earn £100k / year.

The vast majority of doctors will be somewhere within that top 10%, but very few will be in the 1%.

The cut to pay by changing social hours is unacceptable though - most juniors are on 50% banding, so a cut to this would drastically reduce salaries.

Many people in the public think doctors are overpaid, but in truth they just work a fuckton on hours - I think it works out at £12 an hour for the first two years.

Diagnostic rads sit in a dark room with a computer, no where near any xrays. Etc You could argue that they get less radiation than most people as they never see the sun!

Yes, this is something that is done for some patients, it's called neoadjuvant chemo/radiotherapy. Basically to shrink the tumour and reduce chance of metastasising.

Cancer therapy is generally very evidence-based, with most patients participating is a trial of some sort or other. Presumably for OP's exact cancer there is no evidence to support the routine use of these treatments, and that the only thing shown to improve survival is removal of the tumour with negative margins. (No disease left in leg).
