Wow!! Mr. Watt's thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question, even after your AMA was basically over. What a cool fucking dude you are!!

I can't even begin to explain how funny/cool this is. I read your book recently (like a month ago) and was really blown away. I've always had this feeling that free will didn't exist and it's one of my favorite topics to discuss with my best friend, who recently got his PHD in psychology. He fancies himself a pretty smart guy, which he is, and he thinks free will DOES exist.

Anyway, we recently (like last fucking week!) got into a big, friendly argument about it and naturally I brought up your book Blindsight. I am a huge sci-fi reader and he is not but he loves to read and is very open minded, so he ordered your book on Amazon right after I insisted.

He is reading it now and said specifically in a text "Man, this book is REALLY good!" I knew he'd like it. You really seem to have your finger on the pulse of all the cool, contemporary psychology stuff, as well as, a deep understanding of human consciousness.

So imagine my surprise when you're doing an AMA right after we talked about it and he's reading your book, coupled with the fact that I've never asked a question in an AMA, added to the fact that you actually answered!! And then on top of it you backed up my opinion and now I get to shove it in my best friend's face!!!!!! Don't worry he's pretentious and deserves it.

I adopted a little dog for my mother from a shelter about 4 years, Trixy. She has always been timid and skidish. I was hoping that after a few years of living in a safe and loving household Trixy would relax. Hasn't really happened. We were wondering about anxiety medication, like xanax, for her. What do you think?
