It's amazing how people who have never actually had to use their brain to concentrate and do work for a reasonable period of time always think cubicles and open plans are awesome. Sure, they look cool and fit more people into a space, but they're soul destroying, privacy killing, productivity sapping interruption packed rooms of annoyance.
I have an office and if my employer takes it away I will be looking for a new job.

Right? It will come full circle, for sure. Next up will be "booths" assigned to individual employees permanently so that they can keep their possessions in there and maybe decorate the insides to their tastes
