Friendly vegan here. I think they just meant you could survive without it, which is true. I know a lot of people have a hostile view of vegans which is unfortunate. lt's hard to see what happens in factory farming and then not try to get others to stop supporting that cruel industry. I cannot tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I am sitting in a tiny room in Paris crying after reading your tribute. No onions or weedwackers involved. Just crying, because I cannot imagine how much this hurt. I wish I could have known him, he seems like an amazing person.

I've heard that a lot of universities will "invent" animal testing studies for the funding. Is this true in the EU?
