Same in Australia. I have seen ads for ASIO and often though that could be cool. However the pay is crap (best suited for a new graduate who’s never worked elsewhere rather than someone experienced) and the jobs are based in Canberra which is cold and boring and miserable.

What tips can you offer to make sure you have a good voice for radio / podcasting?

I think people have always appreciated him; what’s with this uncalled-for attitude? People are paying tribute to him and you come in with the bizarre assumption that not one poster has ever previously thought of him in any positive way?

I see - thanks. She said it was a great living though; if she didn’t have a home already would this be enough to save for a home and still be comfortable? I’m inclined to think not.

It’s still a remarkable achievement for OP to earn $63K from a podcast, and that’s awesome. However the claims were it’s a “very good” living and I am not seeing that. It’s hardly a life-changing amount.
