Yep, me too. It's normally quick and painless, but sometimes they do get a bit aggressive asking why I won't go in the scanner, and the don't take kindly to 'because I don't want to go through it... Can you just give me a pat down like you're supposed to when I opt out'

Hahahaha, as a somewhat lefty edgy twat in Uni, I have to admit that I do somewhat agree with you. I think communism is a beautiful thing... on paper, but we've seen enough times that it never actually works, mostly because there are some fucking arseholes out there who ruin it for the rest of us, and even if you get rid of those arseholes they'll be replaced by bigger and worse arseholes and it all goes to shit. Its disappointing, but its true

This. I got sick last year with what I believe to be some terrible food poisoning. Couldn't leave the house for 3 days and was just in the bathroom shitting myself. That was about 9months ago and I'm still not quite right. For some reason I can't bring myself to go to a doctor about it. Partly because it's hard to get time off work and partly because I don't have health insurance and live in the States. Smoking weed does help a lot for me. And I eat a looooooot of probiotic yogurt which is also good.

Just posting to say I agree with you :)

A mate of mine left yesterday actually to go head up back home to Port Macquarie (I'm in Sydney) and get his shit together before signing up to join the army. Registration doesn't start til the 7th, but even so, he's got a shitty ankle that needs to heal up before he can join.

Do you have any tips I could pass on to him? His parents were both in the army, and he's partially joining so as to make them proud. But he doesn't want to talk to them about it until he's already in the program and getting into the full swing of things.
