You mentioned the number of people who die from snakebites in the rest of Africa. What snake is the most deadly there?

I'm going to go ahead and risk the downvotes to say that I didn't realize that was a myth until I saw this just now :0.

Never heard of "Boomslang," but that is just a badass name for a snake! Especially a dangerous one.

I had no idea this could cause pressure on your organs. I have a similar case to yours, which, judging by the pictures, is relatively mild-moderate, and luckily I've never noticed any symptoms. I'm a 34 (female).

My son is 2.5 now and he has it as well, so that's good to know that it can cause health issues. I'll have to keep an eye on him and myself as well.

Fwiw no doctor has ever said anything to me about mine, but as a woman it's not very common I'm in the doctors office with my shirt off, even seeing rheumatologists and orthopedic surgeons for back and joint issues... that just doesn't happen. I wonder if I were male would I have had more attention paid to it (or on the flip side, if you were female, would it have just gone unnoticed)...

Yeah, well if sucking out the venom doesn't work, then why does it work in cartoons all the time then, huh?!
