1. Are there legal risks of being an IPFS node in Brave? IIUC that means I might be treated as "seeder" of a file if it's copyrighted etc?
2. How does IPFS deal with bad actors hosting (and thus making trivially easily publicly accessible) illegal/harmful content? Doing nothing might lead to crackdowns from the regulators.

Re Re 2. Do you think a "voluntary" solution on client's side is going to be sufficient for the regulators? That would mean that bad actors can still share and view the content among themselves without issues.

You can just install Google Translate extension. Works basically the same. You can also translate full page, albeit that comes with clicking on extension icon, not right-clicking anywhere on page like in Chrome.
