As a catholic growing up on the US west coast, L.G.'s experience seems pretty similar to mine. I never met Catholics who were vehemently homophobic and very few that were against gay marriage.

Historically, this has been Singer's view. He's moderated this stance some in recent years, but that's still the absolutist utilitarian view

He mentioned elsewhere that the korea bureau is only 5 people, so it seems unlikely. IMaybe if you got hired as an intern in their headquarters you could specialize on some issues like international news in asia?

Does England have laws about you fighting for a foreign group? I remember hearing about Americans who did similar things in Spain and other places in the middle east who were arrested when they returned home
