Assuming people are interested in adopting from the Puppy Bowl, how would they go about it? And how do the groups choose between multiple applicants?

What do you think about Antarctic tourism? Does the extra exposure and support make up for the pollution and trouble?

Assuming you're against it, would you be more okay with it if numbers were restricted to a fairly low number each year and everyone had to visit in an icebreaker/Class-A hulled ship?

And do you see any hope for a treaty that would do better at preserving the nature of Antarctica?

My sister just gave me a vacuum cleaner that sat in her storage unit for about 5 years. When I use it, it leaves little clumps of dirt behind. I'm planning on taking it apart to clean the innards and probably also replace the band. Would you think that would take care of the issue, or should I take it to my local vacuum repair shop (or is it likely to be beyond fixing entirely)? If it's okay to do myself, any particular pointers you'd like to pass on?

(I'm at work, believe it's either a Hoover or Eureka; regardless, I saw it in action before storage and it worked nicely. Will get you the make/model when I get home if needed.)
