What's the strangest way you've helped someone?

My dog startled the mailman the first time he came by while the dog was outside, but after that the dog hasn't even been a problem. At most he'll bark once and then run off and play with some leaves now. But even that one experience made me feel so badly for the mailman that I considered putting a mailbox at the end of the driveway so he wouldn't have to deal with it. It amazes me that there are people who leave their dogs outside to potentially hurt the mail carriers.

Yup, been attacked in the presence of police officers to no avail. Assault against healthcare workers is not taken seriously.

Yup, Java is whats taught in the first course in computer science at my university.
