If every nation in the world threw all of its efforts into a fusion-powered society, how long would it take? What would the world look like during and after the transition - would there be cultural differences (besides obviously being forced to get over nuclear anxiety)?

Hey Chris, saw you at the Ice House in Pasadena a few years back, it's been great to see you doing so well! What did your parents want you to do as a career and how do they feel about your current career path?

I used to be scared of snakes, but a lot of my friends really like them and so I spent some time with pet snakes and I really like spending time with them. Pet snakes are friendly and don't bite people (unless you upset them, of course) and sometimes I think they can even be really cute. Here's a picture of a pet snake I'm taking care of at the moment:

EDIT: Since a few people didn't notice how many times I emphasized the word "pet" when I was referring to the kind of snakes you shouldn't be afraid of, let me clearly state that the snakes most likely to be encountered by this child are neither of the "pet" nor "friendly" variety, meaning that what I said about them being cool does not apply to them. There are also wild fucking dogs in Africa, hell, there are plenty of feral dogs in America, but it's okay to say "yeah, but pet dogs are cool," isn't it?
