I understood that reference.

I think the “good cop” role requires complicity with the “bad cop,” or at least a desire for the same outcome. Good cop is there to persuade the person being questioned to give up the same info the bad cop is looking for.

The main difference is that both cops are addressing a suspect (or other interogatee). Rev Atcheson would be engaging directly with the hatemonger with the goal of undermining their efforts, not reinforcing them.

Jumping on this reply just to say that I saw you two perform in the Signature Show at the Chicago Magic Lounge last year on my birthday, and the show was equal parts amazing and adorable. It was my daughter’s first live magic show, and we’re both big fans now. Thanks for helping keep the art alive!
