That made me tear up! I am so happy to hear that's happening where you are. We got our girl Ella last year, who is a little special as well. But we primarily were looking for an older rescue who may never find a forever home around all those kittens. She drools, has half a tale, her eyes are spaced weird and she can't meow properly.... But she's a total sweetheart and incredibly happy and healthy. ^{_^}
