I'm an American behavioral scientist living in Switzerland. You're probably aware that Switzerland is currently a disaster area, with some of the highest rates in Europe and a pathetic response to the second wave.
A couple weeks ago the federal government stopped reporting numbers of new cases over the weekends, instead giving a summary of the previous 72 hours on Monday afternoons. It makes it very hard to eyeball /interpret trends and is frustrating on a daily basis.
Can you think of any legitimate reason why they are doing this instead of reporting the number of new cases every day? They claim it's because it's only useful to look at seven day averages and that the daily numbers can be misleading, but that seems to be a lame excuse.
