I guess "Normal" is a bit of a misnomer. But I mean they're concerned with everyday things like going to work, seeing their family, striving to be happy, etc.
And obviously I understand that the "normal" North Korean is not at all like what they show in the video, but I mean that regardless of their nationality, many North Koreans have basic human compassion that goes beyond borders, if that makes sense.
I'm really just trying to get to the point that it isn't the people of North Korea who are evil, rather the umbrella influence and brutality of the government.

No definitely understand!I phrased it poorly using normal haha. I definitely meant it as the "people are inherently good" and have basic human compassion, so "normal" was a poor choice in vocab. lol

Cheers on great answers all around. Well articulated and make a lot of sense as business owners and the rebels you are. Can't wait to read the rest of the questions!

I hate how people are giving you so much flak for this video. I think that generally speaking, humans are good, and that this shows that a lot of north korean people are very normal, which is something that is often lost when people talk broadly about North Koreans in the media.
Do you find this while in North Korea? Is there any difference between people you meet with party affiliation vs your everyday North Korean?
