Rob, thanks for doing this AMA.

The two main questions implicitly raised by the folks at Vice in the documentary above were whether Soylent could be adapted to fit the female taste profile and what level of process control Soylent would be willing to adopt to increase food-safety standards.

On a less mundane note, do you plan on creating a nootropic version of Soylent, and if so, what would be included in the mix, and at what volume?

Thanks!

Edit: Can you/do you enjoy a drink on Soylent from time to time? I'm a whiskey drinker, and I'd love to know if you've ever had a problem.

Thanks for doing this AMA. What are your thoughts on knuckleballs and knuckleballers?

Also, what is your vision for baseball in the next 10 to 15 years? Do you think the sport will grow or contract?

I'll look that up. I haven't received a batch yet, so I don't have any reference point on taste, but I'm guessing it's pretty similar to a protein or nutrition shake.

What type of facility do you guys operate out of, and how rapidly do you plan to scale? Also, when's the soonest I'll be seeing packs of Soylent at my local GNC?

On the nootropic side, I think you guys could make a healthy margin selling pi/ani/oxyracetam alongside Soylent. Nootropic suppliers are really damn flaky, so it would be nice to see an established firm with a reliable revenue stream providing racetams and other chems. Intuition would lead me to think that the market demographics for nootropics and "future food" are pretty similar.

Maker's is my standby as well. Good to hear it doesn't throw your system off. BTW, if you're ever in Grand Rapids, MI, shoot me a message and I'll give you a tour of the best craft brews you've ever tasted.

As a side note, my little brother is on and off a restricted/liquid diet periodically due to Crohn's disease, so having a wide variety of this stuff on the market is personally important to me. He gets sick of the off the shelf crap and it would be awesome to have a meal replacement shake that we could hack so he'd enjoy it more. Props for doing what you do.

It's a goofy pitch, but I guess if you can make it work, you can make it work.

Interesting point on the concussions. What steps do you think baseball should take to make a bigger dent in the sporting market share?
