Hey I love rally/ WRC and F1. I didn't realise there was a scene in the USA.

How did you get started? Can you describe the experience of being in the driver's seat ? Is it easy to hear the pace notes when they're being read to you by your co driver? What are your views on current safety for vehicles and routes in rally? Do you look up to any other drivers (past or present?)

I think the issue of culpability may still be very under-examined when it comes to the impact of AI on humans when things will go wrong. Who do you prosecute? the software engineers who wrote the code? the company who employed the software engineers? the company that paid for a licence to use the AI that has caused a problem? what if the company no longer exists? it went broke, or just dissolved, or is a small company that formed specifically to win a tender to write AI code (whatever) for another firm, and then disbanded after the contract period was over? the person who wrote the brief for the tech contract? and which members of that company the CEO, CTO, directors, ..? how are companies currently prosecuted? how do they worm out of it / evade legal action in existing cases where there is proven harm / financial losses etc? how does a tech company have any remit or pretension to knowledge or understanding over the areas that AI would be performing in ? e.g. elder care, mental health, transit, data analysis, forming conclusions with real-world impacts, law and order, medical management, crime and punishment, higher education, etc. basically a bunch of tech bros would be directing social policy
