I was planning a 10 mile hike in the backwoods of Newfoundland and had the time set to 6 hours for it all with a 400' elevation only. I feel like a bitch now, need to step up my game ;)

I do have to cross some 100' wide rivers though. </excuses>

Wow, that is a hard freaking hike. 8 miles, 1000' elevation in 2 hours is harsh on it's own but add in that pack.
