Expat is just a more commonly used term than emigrant in southern African. There is certainly an aspect of British colonialism to it, I think the term was pretty commonly used in other parts of the former British Empire.

What do you miss the most about Zimbabwe?

My best memories of Zimbabwe are of weekend trips to Vic Falls and Hwange, (we lived just over the border in Botswana), but one of my favourite thing to do as a kid was climb koppies looking for snakes.

He started off strong, then went downhill, and there are parts of the movie where he isn't even trying. I'd say he nailed certain aspects,, but on the whole he did a below-average job.

I'm guessing that OP will sound fairly similar to this. The closest well-known accent would be a South African English speaker, not the heavier Afrikaans-tinged English that is more commonly used in movies and TV.
