Although I was a faithful Brat Pack follower, my favorite role of yours was in The Stand. How was filming a mini-series and portraying such a gritty character? I thought you made a terrific Fran.

ALSO (forgot) - I still have a great picture of you in a cute hat and floral suspenders. Did you always have such an individual style, or was it something you developed through wearing different costumes?

You've had such a long and varied career - are there things you haven't yet done but wan to that you have in the works? Would you say it's an advantage that you were performing professionally before you were out of high school? And what was the inspiration for your famous "voice"?

We read Forever in my Young Adult Lit. class in college, and I had forgotten how "real" it was. My students had an Independent Reading project over banned books and a lot of them read Forever. It sparked some great discussion.

What is that black ribbony stuff that waves around from under the striping after a bad winter? And why is it necessary to block off ten miles at a time when people are only working on two?
