Cortisol is largely seen a lifeline hormone, it keeps your body running during times of stress. Patients who are unable to produce their own glucocorticoids (Cortisol being the natural form) can very likely fall into hypoglycaemic comas and simply die due to the inability of the body's metabolism to keep up.

Patients who are on steroid hormones always have their dosage upped 2x/3x in anticipation of a stressful event; i.e. surgery.

Periods are regulated and cycled as a result on Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) produced by the anterior pituitary gland. These hormones stimulate the female ovaries to release estrogens and progesterones that trigger all the fun changes ranging from ovum maturation to the shedding of the uterine lining (menstruation).

Since OP suffers from Panhypopituitiarism, they can't have a regular menstrual cycle unless they're on daily injections of LH/FSH (which is never done).

Edit: Pronoun use

I don't know about Ross, but I can give some input from personal experience. My father is blind (and has been for 30 years) and I can say for certain that he has developed a remarkably stronger sense of hearing. Sitting in his room he'll be able to listen to the sound of our water pump turn on/off despite it being two stories up. I've never been able to listen or demarcate that sound.

In addition, he has a large long-term memory. He's able to remember multiple phone numbers and who they belonged to weeks after he's been given them.

Also, I'm unaware of my father being able to sense distance based on sound alone. He has though surprisingly been good at not bumping into things. Also, he's never used a blind stick.

Hi Mary. My father has been blind for 20 years now as he's symptomatic for retinitis pigmentosa. I've contacted Second Sight a year ago and I was notified that the device was not approved for use in the Middle East. Could you please benefit me with where exactly in the Middle East is the Argus II approved?

Thanks a lot! I sincerely appreciate it.
