Was it exclusively males, or did you have women who wanted to snuggle up with you too?

I think it was in Singapore I just read that they do a different take on this - If you choose to be a donor, you move up the priority list significantly. If you don’t proactively become a donor, guess what, you get thrown to the bottom with the rest of the freeloaders.

I think that’s the most fair way to do it. Otherwise it only further pushes the wealth gap between folks.

I’m actually all for opt out being the norm. I think that mixed with prioritizing those who stay in the program above all else is pretty cut and dry.

You don’t want to participate? That’s fine. You should be forced to sign a document stating you don’t give a care about the greater society, and thus they shouldn’t care about you in your time of need.

It’s the same concept as those who don’t want to pay taxes for a fire department and then get pissed off when the fire department protects their neighbors but won’t put a drop on their house. You either participate in society or you don’t. By being opt out, it allows those at the top or bottom to have a choice.

There’s a million holes but any of these changes would improve our current crap of a system tremendously.
