As the man said, money laundering. You have done something illegal to obtain a lot of money. Your venture was successful, but the money you have is traceable. So, you go to a casino and give them your bad money while you take their anonymous money. Most casino games, if played by "rules" are designed to just make the player lose a VERY small amount per play.

There is a push to label both instead of trans being seen as "the other". I.e. they don't want "normal" and "trans" but "cis" and "trans" to put them on equal footing.

I'm getting on board. It doesn't cost me shit, and I'm pretty sure my natural instinct to NOT get on board is how progressives in one generation ossify into the conservatives of the next.

We have Medicaid in Virginia.

A cynical man might say that this translates to "All those rat racers pay for some and provide all of the 1st world medical care for us."

Edit: apparently the Twin Oaks community produces goods which are sold and they pay taxes on the sales of those goods. I arch an eyebrow at the rejection of capitalism until one needs it's fruits but, hey, who am I to judge hippies living in the woods?

I mean...maybe it was a huge deal. The logistics of an army must be insane. If this guy figured out how to get in-field troops the correct gear at the correct time while saving resources...that's a big deal. For obvious reasons, the military isn't going to put their brightest bulbs on the front lines with a rifle. They also can't tell those brightest bulbs "you're just a file guy (i.e. one of the few people smart enough to do this) so you can't get promotions or medals for doing your job well."
