Do you have a guilty conscience for not doing more to help people there? For believing the propaganda they were feeding you? I'm not trying to be a dick, sincerely wondering since it seems that you've had a change of heart. Was it difficult to meet the three Brits? The guilt must've been overwhelming, I imagine. Thank you for doing this, it's never to late to change one's mind.

Thank you for answering. I've only seen what they went through in a documentary and I know I would have a hard time forgiving a former guard who helped keep me in a hell hole. They're far better people than I am. Also, I'm really glad that you guys have become friends. I think that's a big factor for someone recovering from the severe PTSD that those guys must be going through. It can help them restore their faith in humanity, and it means some redemption for you, win win. I wish more former soldiers had your level of integrity, to at least admit after their service that some shit they did just wasn't right. That's not how the military of a civilized country behaves.
