By now i think it should be clear that when politicians do an AMA they only answer the questions that are comfortable answering. Why does Reddit allow politicians to not answer top questions? Isn't that the whole point of AMA?

The 5th reported person to accuse Roy Moore was Beverly Young Nelson (with the Year Book). She appears to have been brought to the media's attention by Gloria Allred. Did the WaPo vet and check her story before adding her to the Washington Post's list of accusers?

On Afghanistan: poppy/opium production has almost doubled in the last decade. Is the US seriously trying to eradicate drugs in Afghanistan or is the drug trade seen as a valuable currency earner to buys weapons etc, as it was in the 1980's?

To gain some insight into that question, you could ask Iraqis today whether they are happy that the US "liberated" them from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein.

Just to get some of the facts clear, as you seem a bit mixed up. President G.H.W Bush was Director of the CIA from 1976 to 1980. He was President from 1988 to 1992. GW Bush, his son, was President during 9-11. And yes, there was some overlap between Bin Laden operating in Afghanistan, from 1979 and GHW Bush heading up the CIA. You can read up on Operation Cyclone, which was the CIA operation to arm and finance the mujahideen in Afghanistan. A lot of the financing for the mujahideen also came via the Saudis. And yes the Bush family had long and deep ties to the Saudi regime. A good book on their many connections is House Of Bush, House Of Saud by Craig Unger.
