Can I ask a D&D question?

My family used to play when I was a kid and I loved it, mostly because my Dad was an awesome DM.

Now a friend has expressed an interest but, these days, it would probably be just the two of us.

Is there any way for just two people to play? How would you go about it?

Any tips?
