I asked because a teenage friend of mine was born in Japan, daughter of Canadian diplomats. She had dual citizenship but had to make a decision at 21, I believe because Japan would not allow dual citizenship as an adult. I thought it was really good of them to not force the parents to decide for the child however.
We lost touch before we turned 21 but I’m betting she’s a Canadian still.
